Key Responsibilities:
- Design, produce, and execute sizeable and profitable corporate events that are of sufficient quality to market in industry trade magazines under the AAVC name and banner.
- Solicits audio-visual staging business through “cold” calling, referrals, hotel lists, and site meetings. Increase both top- and bottom-line revenue through aggressive sales.
- Meet or exceed established monthly sales goals.
- Consistently maintain sales database (Magnet) entries. Company reports and customer information is accurate at all times.
- Prepare Equipment Reservation System (r2) documents for client quotes, tracking equipment utilization, management reports, and other purposes.
- Negotiate with vendors in AAVC’s best interest.
- Travel extensively; nationally and on occasion internationally.
- Develop rapport with cross-functional leadership to ensure Company and shows are operating efficiently and as a team.
- Promote and actively involved in Company lead share program to benefit cross-functional teams.
- Promote AAVC as a Company by building personal rapport with hotel management, staff, and hotel chains, whenever possible.
- Exemplify and promote Extreme Customer Service® to clients and co-workers.
- Typify AAVC Core Values.
- Work nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, as well as very early mornings and late nights. Available to clients at all times by Company-issued cell phone.
- Resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Actively pursue high scores in customer surveys.
- Provide leadership and accountability in assigned area.
- Support Company in developing cost-saving strategy and make recommendations to immediate supervisor.
- Continually maintain professional and polished image under all circumstances.
- Foster effective communication to all departments with whom interaction takes place, to include proper notification (advance, throughout and post) of all Regional and local management teams when interacting with hotel properties assisted to their specific areas.
Summary of Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree. AAVC may consider equivalent work experience in lieu of academic credentials.
- Minimum of three (3) years serving in a sales capacity in a related field (preferably in a Five Star Five Diamond hotel).
- Has verifiable record of consistently selling and producing profitable audio-visual staging programs exceeding $75,000 in revenue (must provide examples including photographs).
- Background in music, recording, audio visual, computers, and/or proficient in related technology, highly preferred.

- Has proven leadership skills, advanced technical proficiency, utmost dependability, and Company loyalty.
- Demonstrates maturity, safety, problem-solving capability, and thorough knowledge of AAVC policies and procedures. Exhibits enthusiasm in regard to reaching assigned sales goals.
- Professionally groomed to Company standards, specific location’s standards, and to the standards of our clients (depending on location). Polished image.
- Approachable, warm and friendly.
- Articulates ideas and concepts in the English language clearly and concisely. Must possess powerful vocabulary and dynamic communication skills both in writing and when presenting orally to large groups. Confident interacting with celebrities, VIPs, Fortune 100 executives, and the social elite. Must convey complex technical concepts in plain everyday language to non-technical clients. Communicates with highly technical show producers effectively. Is persuasive in selling our services to technical and non-technical customers alike.
- Teachable. Readily accepts strong mentoring, accountability, and practical discipline. Willing and able to learn new technologies quickly. Retains knowledge learned. AAVC requires that all employees devotedly advance through their respective career path.
- Highly organized, strongly self-disciplined, and illustrates outstanding leadership skills.
- Fluency in a second language is helpful, but not required.
- Has basic knowledge of CAD programs and is capable of making edits in regard to space planning and equipment layout.

Physical Demands:
- Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machines, multi-line telephones, filing cabinets, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment as well as audio visual equipment such as computers, projectors, audio mixers, lighting controllers, projection screens, scaffolding, and other audio visual equipment as needed.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, climbing, crawling, grasping, writing, repetitive motions, bending, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity. Length of time at these tasks varies from day-to-day and task-to-task.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
- Vision occurs continuously with the visual functions being those of far vision and depth perception.
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Temperature is controlled indoors by hotel environmental systems. Outdoor temperatures vary by season, can be colder than 30 F in winter, and can exceed 115 F in summer.
