Key Responsibilities:
- Exemplify and promote Extreme Customer Service to clients and co-workers
- Typify AAVC Core Values
- Consistently maintains Magnet database entries.
- Works nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, as well as very early mornings and late nights
- Assume duties of co-workers throughout company including supervisor when assigned. Occasionally acts as temporary hotel director or assistance director
- Resolve customer complaints in a timely manner
- Actively pursues high scores in customer surveys
- Provides leadership and accountability in assigned area
- Negotiates with vendors in AAVC’s best interest
- Supports company in developing cost saving strategy and makes recommendations to senior management
- Promotes and creates safe work environment
- Attend AAVC training classes.
- Continually maintains professional and polished image under all circumstances
- Prepares r2 documents for client quotations, tracking equipment usage, management reports, and other purposes
- Supports company in loss, damage, or theft prevention strategy
- Develops rapport with cross functional leadership to ensure company is operating efficiently and as a team
- Promotes and is actively involved in company lead share program to benefit cross functional teams
- Promotes AAVC as a company by building personal rapport with hotel management, staff, and hotel chain whenever possible
- Produce quality and profitable shows and events
- Specify, coordinate, and manage labor for assign shows and events
- Specifies equipment needs for audio-visual programs of various size and scope
- Coordinate logistics and manage crews for audio-visual programs of various size and scope
- Occasionally travels with Team Staging division when assigned
Summary of Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred. AAVC may consider equivalent work experience in lieu of academic credentials
- Minimum of one and a half (1.5) years serving as a lead technician or Technical Coordinator (preferably in a Five Star Five Diamond hotel)
- Has verifiable designing and executing profitable audio-visual staging programs exceeding $75,000 in revenue (must provide examples including photographs)
- Has received AAVC certification in the following areas: 1) The American Academy; 2) the following Essentials workshops: Project Management, Basic Sales, Basic Audio, Basic Lighting, Basic Video, PowerPoint
- Background in music, recording, audio-visual, computers and/or proficient in related technology highly preferred

- Can design and execute medium-large events ($45,000-$100,000) with minimal assistance from others (provide examples)
- Has extensive knowledge of Room Viewer or similar CAD program and is capable of creating original documents and drawings used for audio-visual layout ands space planning purposes. NOTE: proficiency will be tested

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to drive a vehicle for up to 6 hours a day or more. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day.
- Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machines, multi-line telephones, filing cabinets, fax machines, copiers and other office equipment as well as audio visual equipment such as computers, projectors, audio mixers, lighting controllers, projection screens, scaffolding and other audio visual equipment as needed.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, climbing, crawling, grasping, writing, repetitive motions, bending, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity. Length of time at these tasks varies from day to day and task to task.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
- Vision occurs continuously with the visual functions being those of far vision and depth perception.
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Temperature is controlled indoors by hotel environmental systems. Outdoor temperatures vary by season, can be colder than 30 degrees in winter, and can exceed 115 degrees in summer.
